Attracting section 234a

When a nil return has been filed within the due date for filing ROI, and a huge tax has been assessed in the order passed by AO, will 234A be attracted?

Interest u/s 234A & 234C is calculated on the returned income, so the assessing officer cannot change it during assessment.
Interest u/s 234B is calculated on the assessed income.
Interest u/s 234B is calculated on the assessed income.
