Hi following questions regarding assessment. Please help.
1. If assessment of my return for AY 2006-2007 is not completed due to some reason (for e.g. I haven't replied to the notice), will IT department stop doing assessment of my subsequent returns (i.e. AY 2007-08, 2008-09 etc)?
If yes, what will happen to subsequent returns I filled. Will those be considered once I clear 2006-07 assessment?
2. Is there any way to find assessment of my return is completed for particular AY or not?
3. I change my residence after filing return, AO sends notice to old address, I don't get notice. Who is at fault for this?

Since you didnt respond to the Deppt. there will be penalty and interest.. they will continue with the assessments of the next years ....

The assessment will be made on the basis of best judgement assessment.
