AS 26-Miscellaneous expenditure

Someone told me that now Miscellaneous expenditure cannot appear in Balance sheet due to inclusion of certain para in AS -26.
Do any one has idea regarding this para?

It is true. But what will we do if the profit is not adequate to absorb the expenditure in full? So balace will appear as Misc.expenditure to the extent not written off...
