Dear Expert,
The borrowing cost relating to the substantial period of less than 12 months of the qualifying assets can be capitalised? as per AS16.

Yes, borrowering costs till the asset put to use can be capitalised. The substatial period is depend on the specific type of asset. Even in case the asset require more than 12 months for put to use the same can be capitalised.
