16 March 2015 Dear Sir/Madam,

I am undergoing second year of articleship under a Chartered accountant. My principal intends to surrender his Certificate of Practice and has requested me to transfer my articleship to another chartered accountant.
In this regard, I sent a letter to the Institute on 7th February, 2015 requesting for permission for transfer of articles.
I have not yet received any permission from ICAI till date for transfer of articleship i.e. 16.03.2015. So I am in a confusion as to whether I have to wait till I get the permission from the institute or join under any other Chartered Accountant as articles trainee before getting such permission.

Hence, I request you to look into this matter and reply as early as possible.

16 March 2015 why dont u called or mailed the icai officials... seriously u need to call them and ask abt the matters...
then take a decision after their answer

16 March 2015 I Have called them a week ago and they suggested to mail the same to sroart@icai.in and so I did the same.But haven't received any reply from them as of now.

16 March 2015 go to the nearest branch and tel them ur complete querry and ask them for help, they wil inform what to do next

16 March 2015 If your principal has surrendered COP, prior to surrender would sign Form 109. So as to enable you to register for article ship with some other principal. Once the said form 109 is signed you have to undergo the balance period of service with another CA.

Your 2 years article ship served would be valid
