Articleship confusion

28 May 2008 I am registered under a partner in a CA firm who has recently resigned from partnership.
He is continuing his own practice & till now i am working with the same firm in which he was partner.
So whether period which I served after his resignation will be counted for the articleship.
what is my status under these circumstances.
Should I take transfer under another CA or partner?
What will be effective date for determing my transfer under another CA?

30 May 2008 in my opinion ur all time will be counted. it up to u to decide abt transfer, but in my opinion u confirm whther he is out from partnership as well or not. it is quite possible that in papers he is still a partner. in that case u need not to worry and may continue.

if he has back out from partnership as well, there shud be some forms to be sent to institute by u, because on ur registration form, firm name was of present firm and that ca is now not affiliated with this firm.

in second case prevails, contact icai for next procedure.

04 June 2008 actually he is continuing with his personal practice in his own firm name,so can i put his individual firm name in my 109 form
