articleship completion??

29 April 2008 I started my articleship on March(3) 18,2008 and as per that 3.5 yrs shall be completed in September(9) 18, 2011.

We are allowed leave of approx. 6 motnhs. As my exam is on nov 11; will i be able to apply for completion of articleship after Sept 18 '11 and stop going to the firm.

Is that 6 motnhs leave is applicable btw
a) March 18 2008 to Sept 18 2008
OR

b) March 18 2008 to till Novemeber exam of 2011 's results aren't announced

01 May 2008 A trainee is allowed Leave for a certain specified period (Calculated in following manner), according to the rules framed by ICAI.

Your Leave shall be calcualted in "Days" as follows;

Total Period: 3.5 Year
In Days: 1278 Days (3.5 x 365)
Maximum Leave that can be availed is One day for Every Seven days served. Hence, in total of 8 days, one day leave is permissible.

So, In calculation of leave for period of 1278 Days: 1278/8=160 Days

Therefore You can have maximum of 160 Days of Leave.

Further, this leave is in relation to the period of training. i.e. March 18, 2008 to Sept 17, 2011. September 18 is first day after 3.5 years. (Independence Day ;-) )

Date of Examination and date of result have nothing to do with tenure of your training and leave taken during that tenure.
