27 June 2015 Dear Sir,
I had one query related to my articleship. I joined my articleship in 28/08/2012 and my three years are going to be completed on 27.08.2015. I have got an offer letter from ONGC to join within a couple of days. My querry is whether the filing of Form 109 by my original principal affect my CA course. As in afterwards if I want to complete my pending period of articled service, would I be able to do it without any hiccups or would I have to face any dire circumstances?

01 July 2015 Yes, it will affect your CA course. Terminating your articles now and completing it later amounts to taking a transfer for which you need permission of ICAI. The offer from ONGC has excited you but that is short-term thinking. If you take up the job then when will you complete the articleship? You will have to leave the job to do that. You will not be given you membership without completing it. Have patience and complete the course. Other offers will come later.
