Hi experts, one of my best friend due to his personal reasons have terminated his articleship in our current firm and have opted for dummy articleship and now have received offer letter from a well known company as accountant. Background verification is going on in that company and he has passed IPCC. will they enquire in ICAI and will he get caught for doing such illegal thing? Thank you

If a student tries to act smart, please remember the ICAI is smarter than the student.
First dummy articleship is illegal. Then taking up a job as accountant without obtaining prior permission is again a violation.
Hence, please understand the risk that if ICAI comes to know, then the student can be debarred/ his articleship not recognised as appropriate.
