After passing of first group of IPCC at any time you can register for your articleship training there is no time limit to start and get articleship training registration. But commencement of articleship will decides your CA Final exam eligibility, so early commencement give you early eligibility and late gives you late eligibility.
However for May 2013 qualified students i.e results declared on 31-7-2013. the minimum first eligibility attempt for CA final is May 2016. So to get May 2016 Final attempt eligibility the last date to commence articleship is 31-10-2013.
