I joined my articles in Aug 2011. I heard that a student can attend GMCS after 2 yrs of articles. Can i attend the course after article period or i have to attend it before 3 yr. Or is it other way around that i can attend only after 3yrs?

you can attend gmcs in last year of articleship or after completing articles,,but before applying for membership number at your own interest

Thanks Ganesh. What about the advanced itt? Is it mandatory for me? If so the cut off dates?

i dont think it is mandatory for those registered for before 1.05.2012,,because i am not at all ware of this programme ,,recently i came to know about it that too from icai catalogue,,
and not aware that icai conducting any programmes regarding this,,i dont think any programmes running relating to advanced itt because recently i have gone 2,3 times to ca institute also,,not aware of any programme there in notice board
