Areas to be concentrated in articleship

19 April 2014 Hiiiiiii frds,
I am now doing articleship in a medium size firm.

I will prefer job after CA completion.

In which areas should i concentrate more for getting job,can any one can guide me?

20 April 2014 When you look at the services on renders in a job, you will have good idea where to focus your work.But for job, you have different types of works.Service Industry,manufacturing,Trading,Banking and Finance,Insurance sector like that.For Manufacturing Industry, it is always better to have exposure to central excise also.Get good experience of VAT/CST,Central Excise,Service Tax,Income Tax.Sometimes in a Job, you may have to prepare Project reports.So do some project reports and working capital estimates for clients while in CA Articles. A CA Article student may not become an expert in all these fields during articleship but practical knowledge will make you a perfect professional.After getting into job, you can use your brains and the skills learnt in articles to do work to the best of your ability.
