Applied for exam without revalidation

Apparently my ipcc revalidation date was on or before Jan 2016 but i had already filled exam form for May 2016 without knowing that. Hall ticket has also been generated. What will be its consequence? If I apply for revalidation now, will it be ok to appear in May 2016 exam? Please need help asap. Thank you
