Applicant's Name in Income Tax Database

18 June 2011 Dear Friends / Experts,

Please see my query :

When I have only the PAN details of the applicant, I generally used to go to NSDL TIN e-Tax payment portal and fill CHALLAN NO./ITNS 280 and find out the name as appearing in Income Tax Database.

Query

Please confirm whether the name as appearing here is 100% correct or is there any other alternative available.

How do I find the applicant's father's name as appearing in Income Tax Database ? Is there any way available ?

this is not answer of query

Answer of question no.1 :
Name appearing in NSDL site is as per PAN database so it is 100% correct. If applicant says that it is wrong than first he should correct it in PAN Data. For that he should filed PAN correction Form to UTI / NSDL

Answer of question no.2 :
No way to find out applicant's father's name in PAN database.
