Dear expert
Why TDS amendments made by Finance Act 2010, applicable from 01.07.2010? why not it is 01.04.2010 or any other date? What is the reasoning behind it? Plz clarify it.

It is said that taxation and equity are strangers.
Meaning thereby, taxation can be devoid of logic, reasoning, justification.
However, the government might have calculated the revenue implication to arrive at the date.
