is service tax applicable on SLOT RENT service, if yes what is the rate of service tax levied.

Slot is time slot which is used in Advertising industry. This means the broadcasters fix a time of 10 Sec. 15 sc. etc. This is the services under advertisement and not under rent . The telecaster charges for telecasting the adv advertisement and no rent is charges so there is service charges or service tax on advertisement and TDS too
