Yes the intimation is an appealable order.
However u can always get the intimation rectified. So no need for filing an appeal.

It depends upon your grievance. A petition u/s 154 of the Incometax Act, 1961 for rectification of mistake before the Assessing Officer would be good as suggested by our friend Sri Aditya and the you can prefer an appeal if necessary.
