If my client has deducted TDS for F.Y 2009-10 but not deposited the same because he did not had TAN NO.
Now in current year ie, 2011-12 if he applies for TAN and deposits the TDS deducted along with Intt.for F.Y 2009-10 , can he do so
ie, Apply for TAN now & claim the credit for the same in the current year
Now, If you have deposited tds with interest then you absolutely take the credit of the same in the current year.
