Annual eTDS Returns

24 September 2009 One of my client companies is regular in filing quarterly eTDS returns. In one of the engagements, an external auditor other than statutory auditor has asked the company whether annual returns of TDS in Form 24 and Form 26 are filed for the Financial Year 2008-09? I am interested in knowing whether any annual TDS returns are to be filed along with the quarterly return of March.

25 September 2009 Annual return of TDS no longer in force. You are correct. TDS returns are to be filed quarterly.

25 September 2009 If you file the quarterly return for March thats enough. There is no Further Annual Return required.
