a house property give on rent @ 100000 p.m.
by me and i also charge service tax@ 10.30% on it rent amount. lesee party is corporate assess. pls tell me wht amount of tds in this case.... i think tds rate would applicable 15% in this case..........?

Rate of TDS w.e.f. 01.10.2009 u/s 194I in case of rent paid for use of building is
1. 10 % in case lessee quotes his PAN No. ,
2. Otherwise, it's 20 %.
Therefore, Just Quote your PAN to lessee to get less amount of tax to be deducted from your rental income.
Need not to differentiate between Corporate or Non corporate assessees. Also note that no surcharge & cess is leviable w.e.f. 01.10.2009.
(PLS - Your quotation of 15 % was rite but upto 30.09.2009 only)
