Alteration of Share Capital of a Company

This query is : Resolved

14 March 2009 What is an Equity Stock?
How is it different from Equity Share Capital(fully paid up share capital)?
What implications do the conversion of Equity Share Capital to Equity Stock has?

16 March 2009 Stock are a combination shares, say 10stock or 20 stock of a company is jointed and turned in to stock the reason behind such accumulation is easy trading.

Difference between stock and shares
Stocks are bunch of shares, but shares are individual.
First shares are issued then they are converted in to stock, stock are made of shares and can not be directly issued.
Stocks do not have nominal value as shares do.
Stocks are fully paid, share can be fully or partly paid,.
Stock can be transferred and traded in fraction but shares can not

for conversion
a resulation need to be passed & the stock and its value need to be disclosed in balance sheet . see companies act
