Dear
I have a question regarding tax on salary income.
I am being employed in a company. where i have given Rent receipt of full year (12months) for taking exmeption of HRA u/S 10(13).
now, if i am on leave without pay for one months that is March. could I get the benefit for full year; however I have not been given any allowance or any salary for the month of March.
so, my exemption would be for 11months or 12 months.

Hi,
Exemption under Section 10(13A) will be restricted to the months in which u receive HRA, so the workings will be only for 11 months & not 12 months.
