14 April 2012 Is salary received from an agricultural university is considered as Agricultural Income in the hands of recipient??

15 April 2012 No the salary received from an agriculture university is liable for taxation under the head salaries...and is not an agriculture income...

16 April 2012 Even if you receive any salary from an agriculturist it is taxable. Agricultural income has been defined u/s 10. Kindly go through the same it is applicable for any production by operation of land and not for any services rendered.
