Advance tax v/s TDS

I am a govt employee I have estimated my annual income and monthly TDS is deducted from my salary.This month I have got some extra amount from my office should I pay advance tax on this amount so that my TDS amount remain the same .OR extra TDS in month of February when I inform my office about all the saving and all remaining tax is deducted from February salary.

You have to recalculate your Anticipatory Statement and allow the DDO to Charge TDS from your Salary.Do not wait For February.

is there any harm if I pay advance tax on amount received other than my salary so that my TDS remain the same

You have to revise annual income after considering the additional amount received this month and work out the revised tax and from that TDS deducted so far to be subtracted and the balance tax payable is to be divided into 6 months and TDS to be deducted accordingly.
