advance itt under Advane ICITSS

i want to know that can i undertake advance itt and gmcs under advance ICITSS scheme in my 1st year of articleship as i am registered in old scheme as i am currently in my 1st year of articleship.
and also after i will be surely converting to new scheme after sometime so does it will mot cause any problem
