Adress changed is it necessary to change it in pan

27 August 2011 I have recently shifted to new rented apartment.My question is doI have to intimate my chnaged address in PAN.
Or can i continue with the old adress.
secondly , if yes then what is the procedure to do the changes in PAN?

27 August 2011 Any change in your correspondence address has to be notified to the Income Tax Dept. You can do this by filing form 49B. The form can be submitted to NSDL authorised centers.

27 August 2011 sir, form 49B is for TAN and TCS i suppose.
i want to know for PAN!

27 August 2011 Form 49B is for Allotment of fresh TAN No. For correction of PAN Form 49A-1 is used.

but i have certain doubts
where it is to be filed as i have moved from banglore to delhi,and changing my address from banglore to delhi.

also the form link, given by you,has only 1 address option.so i just need to fill in my new ((i.e. changed address)pls correct my understanding if wrong.

and do i have to fill other details or there to be left blank.

what all other prrofs/documets are to be submitted along with the form.

also can you pls tell if its possible to do the same online.if possible.whats the procedure?

27 August 2011 The detailed instruction for filling up the form is attached with the form itself. In your case as only address is required to be changed, you have to fill in all the details but put a tick mark only in front of address box. Necessary address proof will be required to be submitted for the new address. The form can be submitted at any PAN facilitation centre of NSDL or UTI in any city.
