Hello, I am facing a difficulty while registering a sole proprietor with regards to address proof the case is as follow, Mr."A" want to register for GST and while giving the address proof for business premises the bill is on the name of father but his father has expired so in this case what can be done to use the place as business premises. further to add the mother of applicant has also expired and the applicant is his having an elder brother in the family. You should prepare a consent letter mentioning the facts. Take the written approval of the brother on the consent letter that he has no objection on letting the said premises being used as business for his younger brother. Also attach the death certificate of father and mother of your client. Electricity bill which is in the name of the father also needs to be attached.
if the registration is not granted then your client needs to transfer the same electricity bill in the name of the successor of his father. If he is the successor then the same needs to be uploaded. If his brother is the successor then NOC of his brother shall be required for taking the registration

i agreed to what you have mentioned but the upload size of this document need to be under 100 kb and attaching so many documents under one file is not that easy, even though i will try the same, but can there be any other remedy to same or this is the last option i have? Pawan as regard the size of the document is concerned the same can be compressed to bring it to less than 100kb. Lot of softwares are available in the market.
Unfortunately, there can not be any other remedy. Either he need to get the consent letter or he needs to get the electricity connection in his name.
