We have purchased New machinery
On 12/1/2016 plz guide me can we claim
Full 20% additional depreciation in AY
2016-17 or only 10% shall be claimed
In AY 2016-17 and rest of 10% is in AY
2017-18,
Also provide the relevant amended section,
Circular, clause etc. For the same,

02 May 2016 You are right. You can claim only 10% this year as the asset was not put to use for more than 182 days. You can claim the balance additional depreciation in the next AY.
