13 July 2007 Additional depreciation is available as per sec 32(1)(iia)to an assessee engaged in the business of manufacture or production of any article or thing and not in the generation or distribution of power...so no additional depreciation can be claimed on purchasing of new plant and machinery by a power generation unit... hope this answers your query....
