31 March 2012 Hi Experts,
I am a CA Fresher. I got a job in a reputed company in Finance in Accounts payable department. They are paying me 7.39 lacs as starting salary.

I am recruited as a Management Trainee..!

I came to know from few of my friends that the AP profile isnt good enough.

I wanted to know wether it is so...that AP is not good.

Please guide...so that i can make a wise choice.

05 April 2012 First of all, congrats on your success in getting a job.
In India, normally a Fresher gets only a handful of profiles which include AP, Internal Audit and Accounting. I don't know who is misguiding you about the profiles, but I would like to make you sure that AP profile is not bad at all. Sticking to AP profile for a longer time is bad, which an employer will not let happen. Your profile is good and you can join with this profile. Think about switching to any other profile after two years.
