16 November 2011 Dear Sir,

I am working in a new established company. factory building is on rent basis. We have paid Rs.93510/- to MSEDCL for additional electricity load sanction from 60HP to 110 HP.Rs.30000/- for connection. + Rs.63360/- for Security Deposit & Rs.150/- for Processing. Tot Rs.93510/-.

What will be posting entry in tally for this transaction. tell me ledger & its Group.

16 November 2011 Since the factory building is on rent, in my view you will need to expense the entire amount except for the security deposit of Rs 63,360/-, which I understand is refundable. You may debit expenses to MSEDCL connection charges A/c and deposit to " Security Deposit with MSEDCL"

16 November 2011 You can book the security deposit amount of Rs.63,360/- in "Advance & Deposit paid to Govt., Authorities A/c" and remaining in electricity expenses A/c or Maintanance A/c
