30 May 2013 in our factory we are planing to replace roof at a cost of Rs 2 Crs. pl. clarify can we capitalise it or it has to charge off in P&L

30 May 2013 If this amount enhances the useful life of the asset being replaced, then this can be capitalized. The amount realized from scrap sale of discarded roof can be taken to P/L and the loss on disposal can be charged off to p/l for the year.
