07 February 2016 As per my experience, ACCA does not add a substantial value to your CV. I have been working in the middle east for Last 6 years and interviewed a lot of ACCA candidates. The basic drawback is that ACCA is a course which is not recognized by the accounting body of any country. Plus even in UK it will not entitle you for a decent paying job. (Avg. 30-35K Pounds a year subject to taxes).
Rather, I would suggest to go for CIMA if you want yourself to be recognized globally. This requires more efforts in term of studies but is highly rewarding.
