Dear experts,
Is TDS is applicable on works contract,
i.e. If a company takes construction work and sub-projects the work to other construction firm then whether TDS is payable on such Sub-Project work contract.

Yes TDS is apllicable on works contract.

Yes TDS is applicable on Works Contract u/s 194C and since it is sub contract the rate of TDS will be 1%
