09 November 2012 I'M SHIVA SUBRAMANYA, CURRENTLY PURSUING MFM (MASTER OF FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT. I'M THINKING OF ENROLLING FOR IFRS COURSE OFFERED BY KPMG. KEY FEATURES OF THIS COURSE: *DURATION: 2 DAYS IN A WEEK CONSISTING OF 3 HOURS EACH DAY FOR 8 WEEKS (TOTALLY 48 hrs). *FEES: AROUND 44000 Rs. PROGRAM STRUCTURE AND CONTENTS • Overview/Roadmap and IFRS Framework • Convergence with IFRS in a phased manner starting • Presentation of financial statements April 1, 2011 • Revenue recognition .Business combinations • Financial instruments • Consolidation • The effect of change in Foreign Exchange rates • Property, plant and equipment, intangible assets and investment property. • Impairment and Provisions/contingencies • Employee benefits, Share based payment, Non-current assets held for sale and discontinued operations • Leases, borrowing costs, operating segments, events after the balance sheet date, change in accounting policies and errors.
