About filing itr for financial year 2016-217

I forgot to file the ITR for financial year 2016-17. But when I do the process through income tax website it showing due data is over.
I have tried belated return too but it failed to give fruitful result.
How should I do it ? Please reply asap.

17 June 2018 No option to file the return FY 16-17. If it is very important than you have to apply CIT

17 June 2018 Kindly visit you CIT (Commission) and give him reason for not filling the return in time.

If the CIT is satisfied with the reason than he may allow to file the return.

Alternative you may visit your AO and ask him the procedure to file the return
