Quick Summary

You can check if your Aadhaar and PAN are linked via the Income Tax e-filing portal, but there's no way to find the exact linking date. Transactions after 31st May 2024 with unlinked cards may face higher TDS/TCS rates due to an inoperative PAN.

What happens in case of transaction entered after 31/05/2024 and aadhar pan is not linked?

21 January 2025 Visit the Income Tax e-filing portal.
Under the ‘Quick Links’ heading, click on the ‘Link Aadhaar Status’.
Enter the ‘PAN number’ and ‘Aadhaar Number’ and click the ‘View Link Aadhaar Status’ button.

If the PAN - Aadhaar linking is not completed, it will lead to tax deduction/ collection (TDS/ TCS) at a higher rate under Sections 206AA and 206CC of the Income Tax Act, 1961. This is because of using an inoperative PAN for transactions.

21 January 2025 Through this procedure we only get the status but not the exact date on which aadhar-pan is linked..
is there any possible way to know the exact date?
