Is it necessary to have health insurance to claim 80D deduction??? if not can i claim medicine expenses incurred for self, children and parents under 80D without having Health Insurance???/

29 March 2023 Without health insurance, you can claim maximum Rs. 5000/- for yourself and family u/s. 80D, but for senior citizen parents the additional claim can be Rs. 25000/- for each parent.
