26QB correction- no data available error for fully consumed TDS challan/ processed with default

05 February 2026 I filed TDS challan on sale of property and made a mistake in the amount paid/ credited, TRACES is not accepting the correction and throwing error as 'no data available for the said criteria'. The challan status is fully consumed, please guide how to rectify the mistake.

06 February 2026 A fully consumed & processed 26QB challan cannot be corrected

TRACES error is expected and final

Short TDS → pay difference via fresh 26QB

Excess TDS → refund through seller’s ITR

This is the only compliant resolution
