2 additional directors

In a Pvt Co.,there are total 2 Directors.
And one fine day two additional directors are appointed. And on the next day of appointment those initial 2 Directors were resigned.
After resignation, the company is left with 2 Additional Directors.
My query is Can a company carry on with only Additional Directors with no Director?

These additional directors to be approved in the AGM as their terms expires on the date of holding next AGM. The company can function with the additional directors till the AGM. If the additional directors are not confirmed in AGM then the company remains with zero directors.
