17 December 2009 due date of filing return of working partner of tax audit firm--30/9 but if it is a sleeping partner whether date wil be 31/7 or 30/9.

wht is due date for filing return of any director (MD,executive directer etc) of co
since director is not mentioned in ""30/9 para""

17 December 2009 Even if the partner is a sleeping then also the due date shall be 30/9.

In case of director, MD, etc.. the due date shall be 31/7, assuming there is no other business activity of the MD, Director, etc as a proprietor or a partner whereby he is required to file return on 30/9.

20 December 2009 can u explain why it is so b/c act specifies it as working partner

relevent extract of act
(a) where the assessee isâ€”
(i) a company; or
(ii) a person (other than a company) whose accounts are required to
be audited under this Act or under any other law for the time
being in force; or
(iii) a working partner of a firm whose accounts are required to be
audited under this Act or under any other law for the time being
in force,
the 36[30th day of September] of the assessment year
