A bonus issue of 1:2 means you will receive 1 bonus share for every 2 shares you own. If you have 100 shares, you'll get 50 bonus shares (100 / 2 = 50).
5:1 Bonus Issue means for every 1 share held, the investor will receive 5 additional shares.
A stock split of 3:1 means each share you own will be split into 3 shares. If you had 100 shares, you would now have 300 shares (100 * 3 = 300).
A rights issue of 1:4 means you have the right to buy 1 new share for every 4 shares you already own. If you own 100 shares, you can buy 25 rights shares (100 / 4 = 25).
