This query is : Resolved

Quick Summary
A recent query concerns the applicability of TCS (Tax Collected at Source) or TDS (Tax Deducted at Source) on a significant gold jewellery purchase made for a wedding. The buyer spent over 4 lakh rupees using a debit card and noted that the jeweller did not request a PAN card. Based on the information provided, as the purchase was for personal use, TDS deduction is generally not mandated in such cases.
