17 September 2025 As the time period to file ITR u/s. 139(1) is over, you cannot file ITR 3 or 4 under old regime unless you had filed form 10IEA in any previous year or on or before 31.07.2025.
For ITR 1 only New regime is the option available.

17 September 2025 Step-by-Step Process
Log in to the Income Tax e-Filing portal using your User ID and password.

Go to the ‘e-File’ menu, then select ‘Income Tax Forms’.

Click on ‘View Filed Forms’ from the available options.

Look for Form 10IEA in the list of filed forms. If it appears, that means it has been successfully filed. You can download the form and acknowledgment receipt from this section for your records.

17 September 2025 After submission, a success message with a Transaction ID and Acknowledgement Receipt Number will be displayed. You may use these details for future reference or queries regarding the status of your filing.

You can view the life cycle/status of Form 10IEA in the ‘View Details’ section under ‘View Filed Forms’.
