Various a/c head in p.f slip.

This query is : Resolved

07 October 2011 In the provident fund payment slip, there are free account heads i.e A/C NO.1; A/C NO.2; A/C NO.10; A/C NO.21 & A/C NO.22.

What do these various account heads resemble? What is the basic logic behind these various heads?

08 October 2011 Dear Suresh,
These Account number resembles the code of account in which we deposit the money.

A/C No : 01 - Provident Fund
A/C No : 10 - Pension Fund
A/C No : 02 - Administration Charges
A/C No : 21 - EDLI Charges, and
A/C No : 22 - Inspection Charges.

A/c. Number 01 & 10 are one type of deposit on which Interest is calculated by PF dept and the same is been given to the person on whose name it belongs to.

Last 3 accounts are expenses for the depositor or you can say its an income to the PF dept for providing services, etc.

Hope it is clear to you now.

10 October 2011 Dear Sharmaji,

Thanks very much for the prompt response, thereby clearing my doubts.

With Humble Regards,

Suresh M.Moolya
