Temporary break in articleship

16 November 2010 Can a temporary break in articleship is possible say 6 months????
I m eligible for ca final examination but my principal is not giving me the prepatory leave so i m planning to put a break in my articleship so that i can prepare for my exams and later on i will complete my articlehip.
Is there any provision in ICAI for the above matter...and what is maximum period of temporary break in articleship...???
I had completed 3 years articleship and left with only 6 months aricleship....

17 November 2010 In new course of CA, there is no rule of temprory break in articleship. you have complete it in one go.

Particulary in your case, you can take leave and appear for the exam only if your principal allowes you for the same. You may take excess leave right now, which you have to do after appearing in exam.

17 November 2010 bit i had heard that temporary break is allowed but u have to inform ICAI for the same when u stop the training and at the time of rejoining it...
are u sure that there is no rule of temporary break in ca new course...???
