Is TDS u/s 194Q applicable if the electricity bill paid to Jodhpur Vidhyut Vitarana Nigam Ltd. (JVVNL) exceeds 50 lacs in a Financial Year ?

TDS u/s194Q is not applicable in case of electricity charges. CBDT circular clarifies applicability of TDS in respect of electricity purchased through 'Power exchange' only and not otherwise.
