While calculating valuation of perquisite for accomodation whether salary in current year include arrear of salary received for earlier years.
For example ;
Perquisite of accomodation is to be calculated for the F.Y.2011-12
Salary for F.Y 2011-12 is Rs 10 lakh
Arrear of salary due to wage revision for the year F.Y 2008-09 to F.Y 2010-11 is Rs 8 lakhs
The population of city is than 10 lakh
whether perquisite @ 7.5% for accomodation will be taken on Rs 10 lakh or on Rs 18 lakh or some other fig.
For example ;
Perquisite of accomodation is to be calculated for the F.Y.2011-12
Salary for F.Y 2011-12 is Rs 10 lakh
Arrear of salary due to wage revision for the year F.Y 2008-09 to F.Y 2010-11 is Rs 8 lakhs
The population of city is than 10 lakh
whether perquisite @ 7.5% for accomodation will be taken on Rs 10 lakh or on Rs 18 lakh or some other fig.
