whether TDS to be deducted for payment made to international cargo agent ?

29 May 2009 Hi,
If international cargo agent is RESIDENT IN INDIA then only there is a liability to deduct tax from commission paid to it. You can refer Sec.194-H where u wil find clear wordings "payment made to RESIDENT" for deducting tax.
