02 November 2010 I am working in a pvt ltd company we want to use tally ERP9 here our state wise sale
I want to know for all location we should open ladger and create voucher type for all ladger
like mumbai local sales ladger and create voucher type for mumbai local

12 November 2010 Yes, you can able to create ledger as you need in Tally ERP (by group, voucher & ledgers). but, as per rule of VAT you can't able to show interstate sales as local sales. so, you need to confign sales ledger as interstate sale. then, you can sale as cst sales against of form "C" @ 2%. otherwise you can show as you need local sales by areawise.
